This is "The Breakfast Club with Don McNeill." It was a radio show on KABC, and in 1948, it aired live as a special for TV.
This video shows comedian Sam Cowling, and vocalist, Jack Owens, the Cruising Crooner, and features a "second call to breakfast" as well as the show's trademark "moment of silent prayer." This video also features a delivery by Don McNeill of 16 points of timeless wisdom for people, especially young married couples.
In other words, good stuff you can't really find anymore on TV or radio these days.
Jack Owens was a popular singer and songwriter in the 1940's, and he also had his own Emmy-nominated daytime TV show, "The Jack Owens Show" from about 1950-1955.
He was the uncle of Roger Owens, the Famous Peanut Man at Dodger Stadium, and uncle of self-taught piano man Paul Immanuel Owens.
