He's still badass live dude. he's better now(and that is a fact) because he is a more versatile musician. not only can he rock out on guitar but he has also become one hell of a singer. it depends what you want to hear at live i suppose.

I get what you are saying, but personally i thought this was the best John era ever.
From 1988-1990 (Mother's Milk tour). Before BSSM came out.
He is a better guitar player now-a-days, but i'd take this John over our John now. His flashy stuff and tricks in this era were AWESOME.
