Good luck at academy. I'm heading to mine in Dec. I'm currently an Explorer who has done ride a longs and will be testing for Reserve Fire Fighter after academy at the station. from what I've witnessed first hand by far the best career. Good luck on the road there once again cant wait to be apart of the Brotherhood.

Fyi for every one that didnt know the dot regulates emts for the united states and they say that you have to be 18 to receive a emt licesnes so you can not be a emt at 14 some fire and ems departments let you ride along as a observer at the age of 17 to see if that is a carrer you are intersted in but their is no way you can be registered.
