This Anime is about Kantarou Ichinomiya and the oni-eating tengu, Haruka. (Sounds confusing, I know but you'll get it when you watch it. xD) Haruka was sealed away and Kantarou wanted to find him. Kantarou breaks the seal and releases Haruka. I guess technically Kantarou is his master, but Kantarou just wants to befriend Haruka. Kantarou, Haruka, Youko, and Suzu have adventures in all the episodes. Kantarou is an exorcist/ethnologist but you can think of him as a detective for demons.

I love this series as well, and I just got done with watching all of Loki. I love them both. I thought it was interesting to see Cantarou go through those chest pains. Any idea how he got that scar? Also is it just me, or do those chest pains look a lot like Cantarou is having a heart attack? I also thought that it was funny to see just how dumb the characters dicisions could get. I found them all to be very amusing.

That is interesting, where did you read that? I have never read anything about the story, but I find it to be really neat. What other anime do you know of that is like this one? I am new to anime so I was just curious.

It was on Wikipedia. (I know I shouldn't trust Wikipedia but yeah. x_x) Hmm...The Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok/Matantei Loki Ragnarok is similar to Tactics. The two Mangas were made by the same person. OH! And Hatenkou Yuugi/Dazzle. So far, it only has ten episodes. x_x They might continue it in December but I'm not sure. Practically, it has mysteries as well except the main character is a girl.

Hm...I believe it was listed in the first volume of Tactics (and maybe episode 3 in the hot springs). Checking my manga,he says how he had gotten the wound and why it can flares up around a demon, it appears shortly after he finds out that his client's lover is a demon. 8D Hope that helps. I'm such a Tactics nerd~ 8D

Aha! Tactics~ What a wonderful show~ I just finished watching the first episode in English dub and I have to say that it doesn't really match up with the Japanese and Korean (I first discovered Tactics while I was at my grandparents' home in Korea so I watch the anime in THREE different languages~) but I have to say it's still good~ Wonderful anime~

Huum...maybe both? xD I think I read somewhere that they take care of their own character (hum...does that make sense? xD). Like the Manga artist for Matantei Loki drew Kantarou and the other Manga artist drew Haruka. I'm pretty sure that's what it said but yeah.

OMFG. I hate Kantarou, I'm sorry, but he's rather evil. He may be incredibly cute, but he's also very immature. On the other hand, I LOVE Haruka because he has black WINGS and black eyes/hair, and is the strong/silent type. It doesn't hurt that he's incredibly handsome and has a strong power. (the ability to control lightening)
