Not sure why he omitted that one line here.
I assume Woody changed "restricted" to "they don't allow Jews", perhaps because the English audiences might not have understood the meaning of "restricted"?
If you haven't already done so, check out the LP version of this classic bit. Overall, his delivery is superior in that version & the final joke gets more of a response.

Elipolous, I memorized "The Moose" just from listening to the album over and over. I would try to tell the joke to relatives, but I think I enjoyed it more than they did. I like the idea of telling it like Sheldon Leonard. You may recall the Bill Cosby joke where he imitates Sheldon Leonard, the joke about going on a vacation with his wife. "I dove into the water..."
but yuo cna't tell me he is a comic genius
i mean a lot of people bash him for "his relationships" (like the one with the 11 years old step-daughter)
but he is a comic genius
