You guys must have a different grading system than I'm on. I played this piece in 10th grade and got a superior at district and an excellent at state. (That's what i get for only practicing once a week). Brahms is good, but so is Hindemith. They are about the same level of difficulty.

ok you're commenting on her "stage antics"? first off it's about the music, who cares what she is doing onstage, it isnt like she is kicking over stands and punchin the other players. and second, she is playing it beautifully, dont be so arrogant and pompous

This woman inspires me.
I think the way she does her "strut on the stage" is very intimidating. Not only does she sound great, she moves great. She's not standing up there like a statue and look boring, leading the audience to doze off at one point during the song(s). A clarinetist may look at her and think, "Oh, well I sound just as nice but there's no way I could pull that off", or, "Well, I can sure as hell pass off my talent and impress WITHOUT some sort of style".
Thus, Intimidation.

She is amazing. I'm playing this piece for an audition, and I have gained valuable insight from her performance. This isn't the robo-piece most instrumentalists are used to in the band setting.
Truly the best work for clarinet, in my opinion.

it's a clarinet with a gorgeous tone and goes down to a low C and is meant usually for mozart (which is the peice being played, by a phenomenal clarinetist and that's why all the extra keys on the bottom set and why it's longer)
