People Forget what a wonderful JAzz piano player rick was....He brought such great chordal structures using major and minor sevens as well as diminished chords. (unheard of in rock except by bowie beatles and yes). Rick will be sadly missed.

Rick displays here the best influence a pianist can have, the Bill Evans sound. Rick himself stated he was influenced by Miles Davis' album Kind of Blue, one of the moments where Evans shines the most. Rick did a great service to music bringing this aesthetics to a larger audience, blended with his own original concept. Isn't it interesting they both passed away the same day? Bill Evans left us on September 15th, 1980. Thanks for improving my spirit from childhood with all the great music, Rick.

Like I have said in so many other post. I don't think I will ever get over this loss. Every picture I see of Rick, or hear any of the great songs Rick and the Floyd have done..I just burst out in tears.
From one piano player to another...Rick, I love ya, and I will see you on the other side.
