3D Medical Animation Cesarean Birth (C-section)

Uploaded by: nucleusanimation
Video Description:
This 3D medical animation shows the common indications for a cesarean delivery, including dystocia, placenta previa, fetal distress and multiple births. A cesarean section (c-section) surgery to deliver a baby in frank breech (feet first) position is also shown. During the procedure, the surgeon (usually an obstetrician/gynecologist, i.e. ob/gyn) makes an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus in order to deliver the baby. The animation also includes information on what to expect before and after the surgery. See more 3D medical animations from Nucleus Medical Art at http://www.nucleusinc.com/youtube

I would love to be trained as a doula. We kind of had it demonstrated to us in Massage School...but we wasn't actually taught it. It would be such a nice thing to be able to help mothers naturally give birth to their babies.

0:22-0:25, OMG they referred to lump of tissue inside the woman's womb as a a "baby". These crazy anti-choicers should stop trying to make woman feeling guilty about removing blobs of tissue or what they call "babies".

Agree with your sarcasm.
It's still alive fetus of a creature, it is a seperate being than the woman, it's not the womans tissue and it is a creature called human.
It's a human being that is growing.
Abortion is ending the life of a human being, no matter what state it is at.

I had a c-section on 9/9/08 and I think they said it's something to neutralize the acid in your stomach.

It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. It's just a quick pinch and then you feel pressure and a popping sensation as they go through the layers in your spine.
They just asked me right after I had my baby if I was planning on bottle or breast feeding. I wanted to try breastfeeding but I really don't think they'd pressure you into it if you really didn't want to.

I do hope you've popped over to the natural birth vids and left scary messages about birth risks over there too... wouldn't want to think you were one of those judgmental types who think us women who have c-sections are somehow more ignorant than you...
I just thought this ... ( 2 weeks ago by mrsmangobabe)
I just thought this video left out some important information and wanted to add some things to present a more complete picture. It bothers me to see information presented supporting the myth that c-sections are safe and easy when statistics say they're not. If you had all the information available to you and made an informed decision to have a c-section because it was the best option available to you, I totally support your choice, just as I would hope you'd support me if I chose a homebirth.
End result? ... ( 1 week ago by LadyReginaSmiles)
End result? Healthy baby, healthy mama. Giving birth is not test you must either pass or fail. When I had my son many people made me feel like a failure because I didn't go though natural childbirth. With all the hormones coursing through my body at the time, I cried for days...but now I am older and wiser and realize those self-important jerks should mind their own business.

I would neither support nor dissuade you, I'd just think it was none of my business! :)
I have had 4 sections, the 4th one was 8 days ago! I'm sorry if I was a bit snappish with you, but I watched this vid to calm myself before surgery, and it helped to see it presented as a straight forward operation. It is very hard to find anything positive about caesareans on the web, as everything seems to have been hijacked by a rather evangelical vbac movement.

question:which is better a c-seaction or reg. way and which one would had less pain?
