No. It really happend, A guy was given a wildcard to enter the swimming competition by the I.O.C. President and he raced. The other two jumped the gun so he had to race alone but still set a time. He produced the worst time ever recorded at the olympics. One Minute, Fifty nine something.

He's from the Equitorial Guinea, he only started swimming in the same Year as this race, there are no Pools in Equitorial Guinea so he learnt how to swim in a croc infested River, he's never done the turn-over before and had to look up all the time for the wall.

Funny thing is, when I was watching the miracle relay where Lezak whomped the Frogs, I was thinking the same thing when the black swimmer gave up the lead n the set-up leg. Wow, before I saw this, I did not know how much black people couldn't swim! Still, how could you not root for him?
