Yes great powers fall, like Rome, but we are the longest lasting republic in history, and I hope the downfall never comes, with Obama in office it just might happen. As for Iraq, I am not involved with the military so I have no idea why we don't just bomb the shit out of it and take the oil. So I can't answer that one.

Who is a "real" fighter? Some of you watch too much MMA. I'm an officer in a California prison. Been doing this for 12 years now. When someone gets attacked it is more like someone running full speed at them than the "fake" square off in some "octagon". Fact is you never see the punch or kick, so it doesn't matter. Aikido trains for the incoming Force of the attack whether it be punch, kick, elbow, knife, or sword. In 12 years (7 on the yard) only seen a "squared off" fight once.

almost didn't stop it cause it looked fake. like "horseplay". Stop getting your fight experience from MMA. I enjoy watching too sometimes but don't confuse spectacle with real life. I've trained in aikido for 15 years and have used it in "real" life against the very people that the average student trains to protect against but will probably never have to.

The attacks are very real, I have practice with Seagal students, and at real level, the uke will attack straight and direct, and if you as nage can not see or feel it coming/premonitions, you'll get your face injury.This is to practice your mushin.I have experience when i wasn't focusing as nage as the result my nose were bleeding.Hope this will clarify
