Appalachian football video coordinator Jake Stroot won the prestigious 2008 SAVVY Award at the annual Collegiate Sports Video Association convention earlier this month in St. Louis, Mo.
Stroot's video earned first-place recognition over 24 entrants for the SAVVY award, which recognized the best in collegiate highlight and motivational videos. He beat out runners-up from Georgia Tech and LSU for the top prize.
Stroot is in ninth year as the Mountaineers' football video coordinator. He earned a bachelor's degree from ASU in 2004. He resides in Boone with his wife, Ashleigh, and son, Peyton.

it's ok don't get all offensive on me now.. You guys still have to come to Baton Rouge and prove yourselves... And that is all more the reason it was a fluke because Michigan beat Florida in the post season.

Man, so much hate gormar. What will you say if ASU beats LSU? ASU should lose (they should have lost last year too), just curious what your thoughts would be. Would it too be a fluke? Would you use your QB situation as an excuse? My bet is yes, or you'll just be mysteriously absent.

Let me just say this right now....I'm from James Madison University, and we just played Appalachian State today for our home football game....we won the game at 35-32, but I want to congratulate ASU for having such a fine football program. You guys don't play around in football, and I could see it in the game.
