I sang it at my first concert of jazz...and still now it's my favourite theme. Now this sogn doesn't speaks of me anymore, anyway, it contains something that will always stay in my being: the incredible sad silence of a love that flow away, the desire that, one day, this love will return on your path...

This tune has that effect as it is very beautiful but too mellow. Besides, our advancing age won't help if you remember the original release of LP (yup, some of us still remember analog era) in 1972..

Some of the greatest musical compositions are simple but I think there is great beauty in it's simplicity. It brings a certain peace that is also inspirational. I have enjoyed Return to Forever since they exploded on the musical scene. They are definately one of a kind.

I still have the original vinyl LP. The only possible thing that could have made this LP any better... and no disrespect to Joe Farrell...would have been if the sax had been played by Coltrane. I think he would've dug RTF.

Joe Ferrell played from his heart. His articulation of the melody is exquisite! It's his voice I hear when I remember this gorgeous song... nobody else. Thanks for posting this. It does recall a time in my life... an awakening...and music was central to it all.

Coltrane would have kinda destroyed it ... it's too "weak" for his power. All this is very emotional for me; I love it, but Coltrane is another league.
