I don't listen to anything "Miles" after "Seven Steps To Heaven" 1964. I tried to listen to "Nefertiti" and couldn't.
The music on this video is "Pop Music" as far as I can hear.

SAMPLED??? Use your words a little better. Miles COVERED this song in his 1986 album Tutu. Miles was a big fan of Scritti Politti. Do your HOMEWORK on Miles there are a ton of books and GOOGLE in which you can learn something.

you cant "hear" miles' music...you have to LISTEN. im sorry that you dont have an ear for miles. i suggest listening to the funk and rock (hendrix, james brown, sly stone) during the late 60s early 70s to get an ear for miles' music.

Clicked on this out ... ( 1 month ago by queenastilon)
Clicked on this out of curiosity. Well, I love the original but I also really like this; love the funkiness.
In my humble opinion (what do I know about music?), these musicians really 'get' the number but make it something else without losing it's... umm.. essence?
Original still gives me goose pimples but this gives me dancing goose pimples.
Jazz musicians have ... ( 4 weeks ago by losttango)
Jazz musicians have always played "pop" songs, either directly (what else is a "standard"?) or by appropriating the changes and writing a new melody. Miles was just continuing an old tradition here.
I Suppose Hadjee is ... ( 2 weeks ago by Spookoyuko)
I Suppose Hadjee is only being honest here: not everyone can see the delights of New Miles, and treating him like a leper is not going to help.
That being said, I do think that be bringing down the musical barriers after 1964 is only harming his own journey. Its like saying Miles reached perfection at that time, when nothing can be further from the truth.
Whether you are all for "Round Midnight", "Seven Steps" or "Tutu", Miles was/is/will always be, The Man.

Hey Spooko,
