But I meant as in, AFI released Art of Drowning in 2000 and Sing the Sorrow came in 2003.
So, I was meaning, the fans really wanted to see if they still "had it" with that 3 year gap.
Sing the Sorrow was more of a melodic album
D.Underground was just more pop.
you gotta respect that from a band that delivers great music despite their change in their sound...
Sing the Sorrow was a brilliant blend of goth, punk and pop. Leaving Songs, Bleed Black, Celluloid Dream, etc. were great Granted, it alienated the oldskoolpunk fans a little bit but December Underground all-but dumped a majority of them on the side walk and instead went for materialistic pre-teens.
I guess if you did want to compare D.Underground with Sing the Sorrow.
S.the Sorrow would be the better album.
It did have its mix of Goth/Ambient thing to it.
And yes, You are VERY right about D.Underground being very commercial and just plain radio friendly.
I kinda think as well, that Blaqk Audio is gonna kinda be the next AFI sound, maybe???
Blaqk Audio didnt get that much notice.

As long as they stay in the SOS area im happy.

To be honest, Im not as much of a Son Of Sam fan aye.
I think Im just a more bigger fan of Jades gat riffs he brings out and how they all kinda just gel together???
If that makes ANY sense, hahaha.
