I was born in 1967, so for me the mid to late 70's on up to the very early 80's were my musicial journey. The music produced during this time period is perhaps the slickest, most well written, impecable musicianship that the industry has ever seen before or since. The likes of bands such as Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, along with solo artists like James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt,Dan Folgelberg, Jackson Browne and all the incredible R&B. Paul was in great company and he deserved it. RIP Paul

krisk , the Bay Area had some great radio stations back then ! I was born in The City in 1962 , and was living there at the time of your childhood . I am talking before your time when there was K101,KSFX,KDIA,KSOL,KYA
KFOG,KSAN,KOME, and the greatest station in the world , KFRC ! When I came back in the late 80's and 90's , there was KITS , KYUU , KMEL , KOIT and KRQR . I listened to them all exept K101 .

I used to listen to KOME when it was modern rock/alternative. From what I understand KOME used to be like the late KSJO (R.I.P!).
KITS was so cool until they got bought out by CBS and shit. The format was soo good (in my mid to mid-late-90s teenage life).
Radio music sucks now. The format isn't about introducing much. It's just about ad rates.

sad to hear of Paul's passing loved his music...as I listen tonight to "Cppl Nights" all the good and painful memories come back full force.. what a talent..
