Jose Luis Castillo beat him, but lost the decision, De La Hoya was the aggressor and would have been given the decision if he was 1.) undefeated 2.) 28 or so years old 3.) had utilized his jab a little more in the last few rounds. Zab Judah was owning him until the 6th round... he fell apart like he always does... as for Cotto, Mayweather is running from him, so we may never know |

| Well, Mayweather never wanted a defeat on his record... even his people say the only thing he fears is losing... no actual fighter. Fair enough. So he knew the people wanted to see him fight the winner of Cotto Margarito, so he retired. He was also probably quite sure De La Hoya was going to bring his A game... too much risk to his ego when he can still make money being a circus act. In my opinion he'll never be one of the greatest because of the way he did things in his career. |

| Hey it's hard not to like Gatti-the Robinson fights, Rualas, and the Ward trilogy-round 9 of the first fight earned my respect FOREVER... BUT let's be real Kostya would've taken him out within 5 like yesterday's trash---NO I'm not calling Gatti trash..Tszyu was/is a phenom with that right hand. | Tzu was great, but beat floyd jr. Thats getting carried away. It would be fight i would pay to see but it would end like the Hatton fight ended, suddenly and dramatic, with jr still standing. Not taking any thing from tzu, he is a hall of famer and Great great fighter. |
