Je ne critique pas les USA, loin de ça.
Mais je suis critique de quelques unes de leurs institutions, et parfois de leur politique.En quoi ces deux femmes (Dati et Rama Yade) sont
de"la poudre aux yeux"...C'est limite.
Le fait qu'un noir devienne président ne signifie pas grand chose, en ce qui concerne la vie des noirs du sud des USA.Les pays de l'ouest (France USA) rencontrent les mêmes problèmes d'intégration des populations immigrées, nous ne sommes pas différents.

Well the South probably wont be as accepting with Blacks as even the Midwest (which is pretty racist) for another 20 or 30 years.
But North Carolina gave me hope, because Obama won by <1%, a small margin, but it shows that enough people there are willing to make a black man president.

Thank you IaABuddhist. I just said in french that our 2 countries are not so differents.
We have been since the beginning immgration lands. And we are not "one thinking" countries: there are racists in the 2 countries and tolerant people too. USA as France are each one like a full world, you would see anythink you want in these countries (bad things and very good).
But i think immigration is a chance for a country and i am proud to see today France as a melting pot (even if we got problems).

They would argue the opposite at times. The truth is we are allies. My president, Sarko LOVES the US and just got back from yet another vacation In the US. He openly tells us he loves it. I've visited France five times in the last 20 years or so, and I plan to go back next Spring. The people are warm and wonderful, and the countryside is among the prettiest in Europe. I particularly like the Vosge Mountains.
