The BCS shows clear favoritism to name brand schools; that is exactly how LSU got in the National Title game to begin with. And besides, which schools have a chance to play for a National Title and which schools don't is decided before the season even begins. Hawaii deserved to be in that National Title game against Ohio State (you are what your record says you are). But Hawaii got shafted for NOT being a name brand school! There is no legitimacy in LSU's National Title.

well.. im sorry but the WAC does not eqaul the SEC... if the WAC keeps improiving and dumping money into it's programs then one day they might be abelt o compete. aside from special occasions and annomallies the WAC really is out of it's element in this division...... you want your players to win championships outside of your own conference then you should step down into a lower divsion or shut up util you are tough enough to compete with the big dogs

Wow...it's all about the MONEY!
That is EXACTLY why the entire BCS system is complete and utter BULLSHIT! Which teams have a legitimate shot at a National Championship are decided before the season begins; that's right! That is decided when the schedule is released! The argument of "it makes every game count" does not hold water.
A playoff system is the ONLY fair and balanced way to decide a National Champion! But a playoff system was voted down because of MONEY!

Just to clear something up, I am not a fan of any team in the WAC. I just have a disdain for the BCS system as a whole due to the very nature of it. The fact that two head coaches in the SEC are total frauds does not particularly help my opinion of that conference in general. Nothing against LSU or Les Miles individually, but Bobby Petrino and Nick Saban are both stains on the SEC that I wish never coached football, period.

of COURSE it's about the money... do you think that it's "CHEAP" to send a 150+ athletes and trainers to play in anohter state?
to some schools the athletics program is not as important.
LSU for example has an exemplary booster program.... LSU fans from Louisiana would still donate to that program even if they were broke and starving, and they have done it.
so yeah, unfortunately, it IS about the money...

it doesnt matter ot me at all though... the big ten and pac 10 can go back to playing the rose bowl and us folks in the SEC can just go back to playing in the SEC championship.
the SEC had to fight for everythign it has now... we have ceen scorned since we formed the conference. Other teams would play ball with us so we played an extra game just for the SEC... big deal... they hated on us for that too. now we are on top, and don't think for 1 sec anyone out there can discredit our acheivments

I'm not discrediting your accomplishments. What I don't like about the SEC, though, is the fact that Arkansas and Alabama are coached by two of the most classless individuals I have ever seen (I saw the shit those frauds pulled off not only in their last college football jobs (Louisville and LSU, respectively), but also in the NFL (Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins, respectively); Arkansas and Alabama were clearly playing with fire)

You are all missing my point completely; my point is, the BCS system is bullshit; the schools that are in contention for a national title are decided before the season even begins, and on top of that, there is no playoff system (the only FAIR way to decide a champion)! You don't see this on the High School level, the other major college sports, the lower divisions of college football, or on the professional level; only in Division IA!

How is the system BS?
Is it BS that we have witnessed in the last 10 years some of the hardest fought, most gripping college football in the history of the NCAA?
every game... EVERY GAME means something in this system.. it ain't like in the NFL or other systems where you can afford to loose a couple games...
Sure there is luck, and some teams get dealt a hard hand because mistakes and 'easy' schedules are unforgiving in BCS, but no one can deny the intensity of the season last year.
