Of the 3 singers, he's the only one who usually tries and succeeds in making his vocals count for something.
SY never made it big like Nirvana 'cause Kim's and Thurston's singing sucks most of the time, and music buyers like to hear singers who actually try to sing!
If SY paid as little attention to their guitar sounds as they do to their vocal sounds, they would have no reputations or success whatsoever!
-Or Thurston's pal Tom Verlaine of Television, a talented guy, but his poor singing ensured a low profile.
I'm saying they could be EVEN BETTER ARTISTS!
For another, Nirvana to me have more in common with the punk thing and were more aligned with the whole tweecore thing that was happening too. Bands like Soundgarden are the ones that sound WAY more metal to me.
