what a crock of shit. While the Spartan women were making babies, Persian women were leading armies. To name one, a Persian woman led the sea battle that ended in defeating the Spartan navy and the burning of the Spartan Capital. Don't believe me? Look it up.

The Spartan capital was never attacked by the Persians and it was only destroyed by the Romans centuries after the Persian wars. Also Spartan women had more freedom than any women in Ancient Greece.

Ya, they sacked Athens, not Sparta, and it was the Athenian navy not the Spartan navy that was fighting during the battle of thermopylae, and so what, they won both of those battles because of sheer numbers, not skill, and they still had to use dirty tricks to win thermopylae, and it doesnt matter 'cuz the persians got wooped in another naval battle a year or so later, and if thermopylae and the other naval battle that went on at the same time had been even numbers, the Greeks would of won both.

no you moron, they won the battle,not the war theres a biiiiiiig difference between the 2, probably about as big as the empty space between your ears, which, is needless to say, very big, a battle is one fight over an area of land, or a city, whereas a war is composed of a multitude of battles

I don't get offended easily but you shouldn't call strangers, morons. As far as I know Ephialte betrayed King Leonidas and so the Persians won the battle and the war. All these 300 Spartans including King Leonidas were killed by the Persians. This is what Herodotus says.

No, listen, the spartans lost the battle of thermopylae to the Persians, again only because of greater numbers and dirty tricks. Its sad that a force of greater strength would have to use that trick, and again, a battle is different than a war. LOOK IT UP THE PERSIANS DEFEATED THE SPARTANS AT THERMOPYLAE BUT THEN LOST THE WAR TO SPARTA. Dont just base your facts off the movie and wikipedia
