Having enjoyed The Crow since the first issue years ago (yeah - I'm old) I MUST agree with you. Sure there were several things in the comic that weren't in the first film - but the point is Eric Mabius played the character MUCH better than oh that 2nd film and the "Sci-fi Chnnl original" whatever not to mention "Stairway to Heaven" Having said that I probably misspelled the actors name.

a have a question so if in the first one (BTW RIP brandon lee) he gets the crow face paint from his girlfriend's makeup, and in the second one sarah tatoos it on the second crows face, in this one is the paint just the burnt skin from the execution?

It wasn't a tatoo, she used his son's paint. Either way COA was a horrible sequel. Salvation should have been second, Mabius really went for it. He's underrated IMO.

So the Crow MUST have long hair.... how non-conformist of you. Are you some kind of goth munchkin who revels in the black pain of having ooze for blood or something? Lee DEFINED Eric Draven akin to Ledger whose performance DEFINED the Joker. COA lost me with the line "Does the corpse have a familiar face?" Plus all the heavy-handed imagery. Meh, you're probably thinking "My life is just a black abyss... it's suffocating me." Grow up.

Now going back to the crow, a corpse is a dead body, and in that line that you hate about COA it's technically asking him if he remembers him because he has the one who killed him. Well I respect different opinions about movies. but i think that a third and overated crow movie about a guy who gets the crow marks on his face with an electric chair is more fucking stupid than those lines from the second crow movie. and about the short hair, that was just my opinion.

Well to my mind Lee DEFINED the Crow on film, I've read that he studied the comic over and over -he WAS Draven. I'm rather certian we agree on that. I've been thinking about it and I think perhaps it was Vince Perez's delivery of the line that irked me. I also think the film went too "comic-booky" in its appearance. The Crow was for all intents B&W, like the comic, COA tossed in random colors and smacked of Dick Tracy.

As far as the lines on Corvis' face, would you have honestly perferred it if somehow he drew them on or had someone do it for him? It'd already been done twice so as a writer you have to look for a new way to show an old staple of a series. About Goth, I teach High School English III and IV (AP) so my imaginations is right up there mostly because I see it often. Then again name an English teacher you know who plays NIN during pop quizzes. Most of my students think I'm alright :-D
