Yer I'd never seen it before, but it was an illegal overtake. not to take anything away from Zanardi though, but if that run off had been a wall or tyre barrier his race would have been over. Your right that Alex would have had to give the position back to Brian.

Why are you talking like one? Rules are rules, if you put more than two wheels over the white line marking the edge of the track you are breaking them. If thats ok to do then why not hold the race in a huge car park, let the engineers design the cars to any specification that they want and go racing! Where is the sport in that?
