I've been to Istanbul.
The most beautiful things there are Greek and Roman, stolen and perverted by Muslim heresy to the point that you want to vomit at the sight of it.
The rest of the city ensures you'll vomit. You can tell the difference between Turkish and stolen Greek handily there: Whatever smells like piss and looks like mud is most assuredly of Turkish design.
