I don't think we could call that a ripoff by only thinking which one came first. They are both "Parasites" after all, and parasites have usually inspired the game makers.
There are tons of games with parasites, and I don't believe that they are ALL ripoffs from the game that was made first.

Honestly? That was pretty awful. The use of static text on static backgrounds, nearly too small to see, makes it rather difficult to tell what is being said and leads to slow pacing. The animated bits are just pre-canned AI animations or ridiculous ragdolling. The music is just rehashed HL2 themes added without thought to pacing. While I applaud the basic idea, I find the execution lacking.
