I could not agree more. Only 5 corporations control the message. How is that a democracy? They know people are leaving the televised media in droves and getting their news from the internet. I guess I am simply for all the people being in charge and not those on the take who buy the media and spew propaganda upon it. CNN became too much like Fox News. CSPAN seems to present the only fair and balanced news. At least what is put out there as news. Most likely it is all propaganda and we are all slaves...I have a BA in Journalism so I know the dif between facts and bs. Movie Industry wants money but is often manipulated by those who want soldiers for the corporate wars.

Wrong, a corporation only answers to profit, where a functioning government answers to the people. (in theory) a lot of the problems we have with our government is because it is bought out by the corporations. Government is not a bad thing as long as it serves our interests not greeds.

actually I just said media in general; you tube is doing it right. Everything allowed. Radio and TV do not present all sides. Only one side usually (And see the politicians they allow to debate and why our vote does not count)! They are propagandizing us. We act like sheep.

I don't support bringing back the Fairness Doctrine because of the implications it could have against grass-roots media. What I DO support is bringing back the ownership restrictions which were recently deregulated. A media controlled by a select few mega-corporations is not freedom, and the Fairness Doctrine will not do anything about the monopoly of the media by mega-corporations. There's even talk of using the Fairness Doctrine on the web, effectively silencing bloggers. No freedom in that.

It's frustrating even for surfing on YouTube for a video that favors the fairness doctrine. It seems that all those videos that oppose it feature the views of those with strong authoritarian streaks, from Jay Sekulow to Focus on the Family to Ann Coulter to Michael Savage. They give us this convoluted, Orwellian idea that if all sides of important issues are presented, that somehow free speech will wane. This makes no sense to me at all. Your vid is a refreshing departure from that thinking.
