At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the USA Women's Beach Volleyball team won a gold medal, boosting the visibility of the sport. And Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh, the team members, increased their own popularity. As VOA's Kane Farabaugh reports, the two hope to recapture the gold medal in August at the Beijing Olympic Games.

Okay who is tired of beach volleyball? I mean come-on, one would think that there are only three sports in the olympics--I am sure other networks on other continents are seeing more than we are. now swimming and volleyball suck big time! If they think dudes are ging to tune in because women are in bathing suits clue in; they are not super models.

i love misty may and kerri walsh i saw them today in ohio and they are so amazing and great athletes...unfornunately i didnt get ther signature but i got daulhouser and rogers....just as good. but misty may and kerri walsh actually lost today to the other olypians whos name i do not know...it wus VERY intense and even tho i wunted may and walsh to win...i still love them and they are such great role models and people : )
