Why does this not have more views? I love watching these guys. They are clearly lit, but damn, if they don't hit everything perfectly. Poweful and subtle. It's like every note means something; it makes the holds seem more impactful.

as others have said, this is both subtle and powerful. i can't seem to really find myself warming to any version of this song the way i did to bessie smith's when i first heard it - but that's not a criticism, more a personal observation.

Some of the really old versions such as the one by Frank Stokes (born 1888) are more like "Honestly, I don't give a damn what people think, ha ha!", which is fun too.
