tubular213,are these the men that sang backup for Kathy Young on the PBS tape of Doo Wop?? I assumed the one in the middle was her husband, they held hands, all the way off the stage ? On the tape he was the one on the right.

they WERE the singers with Kathy Young on the PBS show--however, one of the gentlemen since has passed away. He may have been ill then and she was showing her respect. Not sure.... can anyone else out there help??

I believe it was the shortest one on the DVD of Rock,Rythm and Doo Wop by PBS they are the backup singers for Kathy Young, he was sick at the time, and you can tell the guys are helping him along, while singing. The tallest of the three must be her husband, because they were holding hands the whole time walking. I am sorry I do not know there names.

Darron Stankey is the deceased member of The Innocents, having died at the age of 62 in 2005. And in answer to another comment, the group's only other charted hit (outside of those as backup to Kathy Young) was "Honest I Do."

The Close 3rd-part Harmoney is what make this
song very nice. And it keeps it very simple with soft pang-pang guitar strikes. Piano does these well. The Gibson here makes very soft indeed.

I've been looking for this GEE WHIZ for ages. I only find the other GEE WHIZ by Carla Thomas, which I love also. But this is such a great love song. I was born in 1949 also. This music is timeless.
