sorry, I don´t need to be grudgy (or whatever the adjective of grudge is) And I bet you know how Andreas is riding and training his horses. Have you ever watched how a dressagehorse is trained? And i do not mean the public training. The way Matinee is moving and doing her competition shows how she is trained...but for that, you should know how the dressagecircus works. And yes, right now it´s nothing more than circus. Tricks, not dressage. Too Sad

To Weinfee1998- I also have read the book and totally agree with kken1229. I have been riding Dressage for my entire life and have trained with some of the best. I have a few things to say to you. 1. Do you even know what you are talking about? 2. There are SO many more people out there that know more about Dressage than you do, so stop talking about Andreas's training methods like he is doing it all wrong. 3. Do us all a favor and learn more about somthing before you talk like you know it all

I agree with falloutboy. I think you should know what you are talking about before slamming this pair. No two horses and riders are the same and no two horses move alike. If you're such an expert, how many Grand Prix competitions have you ridden in? Reading a book only means you know how to read.

I said it once, I will say it again. Everyone can think what he/she wants to think about dressage.I can´t condemn you, cuz you´re blended by a good show.And I still say, the way she is doing the Pi/Pa, she learned it like a circustrick...not caused by collection.And guess what,I rode dressage my entired life too.What does it mean riding the entired life? AvG is winning Olympic Gold, do you really think she is the best (dressage)-rider?She is not able to canter during the winning-round

Riding the entired life doesn´t mean that you are right.Riding for over 20 or more years doesn´t mean, that you are a good and experienced rider.I love dressage, but I do not love the actual way, how the riders compete.

Weinfree: I love people who are passionate about the welfare of animals and Anky and a few others have been busted already for using rollkur. It has not been used on this horse. I have never read or heard anything bad about him. He seems to always put the horse first. In one article, he talked about "playing" with the horse as part of training. So what are you seeing that tells you a different story?

He competes with very young horses (8-9 years old) and I wonder where the horses are left a few years later. Theses horses are very good prospectives. If he would ride in the name of the horse, he wouldn´t use every show and competetion for presenting himself. I don´t like his way of warming up. Most of the time you can watch him riding Pi/Pa. She doesn´t have the strength (because she is so young) to do it without getting physical/psychical problems

I love this partnership. Helgestrand is a great rider and Matine is an amazing mare. But I think that 9 is a little young for doing grand-prix. Does anyone know if Matine ever competed in the FEI young horse classes?

Hm. Loved the coordination of the music and rider/horse 2:35 to 3:02 :] and at 5:04 to 6:00. This horse was genius. I adore dressage. I must agree with the announcer. A sensational performance indeed.

Matine was injured in a fall from a trailer at the World Cup in Las Vegas in 2007. He had hoped to ride her in the Olympics, but felt she was not 100% so used Don Shufro instead. She should be back soon.

to weinfree.....seems like you don't like much of anything about the horses and riders of dressage the way it is today. Perhaps you should take your complaints to the judges and governing bodies....maybe they will suddenly bring back "classical" dressage. In the meantime, who's winning and who's losing?
