If the 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series and 2007 BMW M6 could talk trash, things would get ugly in a hurry.
The big-bore Benz would snort something about its 465 pound-feet of grunt, the kind of power that would leave the Bimmer's flame-surfaced sheet metal in a smoldering pile on the road. The high-strung M6 would make a remark about the Benz's boy-racer fender flares, silly bodywork vents and decidedly uncivilized exhaust note.

engine size doesn't matter a whole lot, i mean mitsubishi in the evo fq400 has 400 horse power from a TINY little 2.0 liter engine...sure the turbo is bigger than my house but still, bmw don't have any flare...but then again mercs have less.

what i dont understand is why people buy these cars in the first place. If you are going to spend that kind of money and you want power, buy a zr1- but clearly people are buying the m6 and slk 63 amg for style or class. Why not buy something outrageous that demands attention like an r8 or a vantage? im sorry but if i spend 120g on a car it better not look anything like another car.
p.s. i doubt anyone who isnt a car nut would c that the amg is around twice as much as the regular clk

Haha great comment import! and wazz, we buy these cars because they do stand out more then a corvette and were not buying a load of plastic crap with a huge engine in it. Thats why people buy high end merc's!

It seems foolish to compare to very, VERY, different cars. One is a luxury sports coupe, capable of carrying 4 persons and luggage in comfort. The other is a more focused sportscar, with only two seats, more aimed at track days. One NA engine, the other with SC.
Apples and oranges.
The CLK is to be compared with lambos, farraris and Paganis.

Wake up!!! The CLK isn't modified by the mercedes company but from AMG, so lets take the M6 and modified by hartge company and see who is the best in modifications. Think once and twice before post, and also that one who compare this cars, must be stupid.

m motorsports is the branch of bmw that modifies bmw's like the old m1, m3, m5, and m6. that's exactly what amg is. amg is to mercedes, as m motorsports is to bmw. if you want to compare hartage and say if there was a bmw hartage, it would beat clk63, it's not a fair comparison. comparing a brabus to a hartage, or a kleeman to hartage would be fair.
