how in the world do you compare The Cure to Joy Division? Both are so different musically AND lyrically. Both are my favorite bands and it's a pity that Ian Curtis is not still alive because if he were they'd still be going strong making amazing music.

Was that addressed to me? If it was then you are thoroughly mistaken. I didn't compare both the bands. I was expressing my disagreement with someone who made an ignorant remark that "The Cure is a copy of Joy Division".
By the way, I am sure that Joy Division/New Order would be making more interesting music if Ian Curtis was around.

Pornography isn't the master piece everyone says it is, don't get me wrong it's a great album, in parts, but for me I thought Faith was miles better than any other Cure album. To me it was like Pornography was never completed that there were question still not answered, y'know. Faith was more complete.

From experience, many songs by The Cure used to not mean as much. However, as time goes by, the words from certain songs all of a sudden mean so much more due to what is happening in life. But yeah, everyone has their own opinion and I respect yours. Glad to know there are still people out there who take time to analyze music. Besides, I was younger than 16 when I first heard The Cure :o)

That is so cool. I had my 3 year old nephew on my lap as I tried to teach him to play some Cure songs on the piano. Maybe someday (pun intended)...you will listen to The Cure with your children as well. :o)
