im going agree and disagree, their new stuff is too poppy, every teenybopper around loves them. Because of the Times was soo different to their previous 2, and it was FKN AWESOME! Change is good, but not when it means that every 13 year old girl is singing "your sex is on fire" and has no idea who KOL are, to them, it may as well be Lady Gaga
Still, they made a change and its worked out for them, cash wise
Im a lover of their first 3, mainly #3 with "fans" just pissed that every1 loves em now

i agree with the fact all the wee chavvy kids are all "omg kings of leon are class sex on fire is my fave song" when previously they woulda seenthe long hair and been like "omg they're grungers" but for the other proper fans this is a great album...and sex on fire is a good song there is no doubt about it. Their older stuff is amazing but i like this new thing they got going on...its called changing with the times.

I agree. It's hard when you feel like you're in on this smallish secret- that KofL is awesome. And then they are on SNL and "Sex on Fire" is on the charts. It's like someone has discovered our secret hideaway from shitty music. However, there is plenty of stuff on the album (tracks 4,5,6,9,1,11) that will remain hidden for those that choose to listen to the stuff that makes it beyond the radio.

very late reply, but had to mega agree. But i've found a lot more of my mates like original KoL too, quite unexpected from my point. #1 is probs my fav, its got that different sound to it like from "because of the times". #5 and #6 are sorta classicy, softer-ish, #5 reminds me of "milk" coz it's sorta ballady.
