alex smith owns this classic, shannon noll is a try hard very very b grade karaoke singer at best, the emotion in the original is lovely , alex has a lovely powerful voice , the only people who like nolls version are to young to have heard the original, noll should be stopped singing for public safety!!!!!!

Some of the products and signs around the "corner shop" may bring back fond memories for Australians. These are the ones I saw: Phoenix, Robur, Rosella, State Savings Bank of Victoria, Craven A, Schoolgirls' Weekly and Streets Icecream. The shop actually changes from being set in the 'olden days' to being modern towards the end of the song. All the new signs such as Coca-Cola start popping up.

Moving Pictures had the biggest hit in 1982 and it is still one of the best ballads ever recorded. shannon noll totally stuffed it up when he rerecorded it it didnt measure up to the original in any way shape or form. recommend any one to listen to it at least once and you will come back again and again.

Still a great song. I didn't know they were Aussie/Kiwi; at the time I thought they were Canadian, since their name is also the name of a Rush album and at that time a lot of Canadian bands were breaking big here in the US. Good stuff though, no matter the nationality.
