Episode 01
Two families - one white and one black - come together under one roof in Los Angeles as they prepare to go out in the world as the other race. Despite being called "The Wurgels" (Carmen's name by marriage) the three participants were not exactly a family in the strictest sense of the term. Film actor (referred to here as a teacher) Bruno Marcotulli, his purported girlfriend Carmen, and her daughter Rose Bloomfield a child actor who starred on the Disney television show Movie Surfers, until she quit shortly after being cast in Black.White, are white middle-class suburbanites from Santa Monica, California, and the Sparkses (Brian, Renee, and son Nick) are a black middle-class family from Atlanta, Georgia. Brian gains access to white culture when he lands a job as a bartender while in white make-up.

The thing is... it's racist in general. The show accomplishes absolutely nothing positive for mankind. I will agree, however, with the fact it is a little racist against the whites. Really, the family white they cast is just full of fucking extreme leftist morons. Later in the show, it really just seems like the point of view of the black father is absolutely correct and applies to all black people. I think the show is bullshit. Spews the wrong message to everyone.

It's not attacking white culture and I don't think shows like this attack it. What it does is PROMOTE the cultural different sometimes between black and white as something bad. Like, the fact we're different makes one or the other wrong. I think Ice as a director mistakenly tries to portray the black father's point as THE WAY IT IS. I think that's bullshit. There is STILL racism, of course, but not so damn much. Bruno is a fucktard, sure. But I think the show sends the wrong message.

One thing I learned in my psycology class is that everyone's racist to some degree. I'll admit that I have opinions of someone based on just looking at them. I at least act against these initial thoughts and try to treat everyone the same. Anyway, I'm just tired of everyone calling someone else a racist, but never themselves. So next time you run into someone of a diff race on the street, really pay attention to your first thought upon seeing them.
