If you've got no time to play guitar then you've got no time to be playing video games either, the only excuse for opting for guitar hero over a real guitar is "I'm an idiot who can't get his priorities right".

Dude...just a video game. I play both and love both because they're both a different kind of fun and take a different kind of skill. Guitar hero can be harder to play than a real guitar because of the way notes run on a real guitar compared to constantly have your fingers going up and down five buttons. If you haven't played Guitar Hero, try it, and play Expert first.

You press more buttons than there are notes in the actual song. My advice to the youth of america is, leave your game systems alone for a little while and go experience the world.
