One of my favorite Hepburn and Tracy moment. This movie often gets over looked in favor of Adam's Rib and Pat and Mike but I think it deserves the top notch among the nine Hepburn-Tracymovies together. Its got to be the best office comedy of the 50s.

Thanks. I never get tired of watching that film. Tracy is great. Hepburn is what great acting is. It's kind of surprising how many times Hepburn has sung in her films...

A friend of mine in Bloomington Indiana, back in the 1990s, once called the local library late at night to resolve a "bar-bet" type trivia question. The reference librarian answered the question, but asked my friend why it had occurred to him to call the library.
He answered "Because library science majors all want to be Bunny Watson from 'Desk Set'." The librarian laughed, and when he asked why, she said, "Because I'm a library science major, and that's my favorite movie!" :)

I LOVE this movie! When I first saw it, I watched it over and over and over. It's SO underrated! It really showcases Kate's comedic side. Not to mention how beautiful and glowing she is in the film. It looked like a happy film to work on with that cast!
I love the scene where they go up to the roof and he asks her all the questions and at the end calls her a rare tropical fish lol
