Uploaded by: InflatableDragon
Video Description:
Picking up his axe and fighting like a farmer at the start of his "Cry of Love" tour. Another from April 25th, 1970 at the LA Forum in California. Exquisite, to say the least.
Enjoy.

That's the proper order, but it doesn't sound like it was recorded outside--I guess they could have been standing under the overhanging balcony, which might affect the sound. Also, I clearly remember him saying, "This is gonna be loud, but dig it anyway",which is not on the tape, but I guess it could have gotten cut off--the person obviously stopped/started the tape.

Hell yeah bro, this was Jimi's first real gig in months and he was aching for the stage. He was truly on that night. I don't know why Dagger Records hasn't released this tape though, it's the complete show and in great quality, especially compared to some of their other bootleg concert recordings they've released. Maybe they are holding out for that soundboard recording to come along, who knows. They are releasing the Albert Hall shows soon though, that's certainly something to look forward to.

I was there. The official Hendrix site used to have the entire bootleg concert recording online as streaming audio, but I can no longer find it. Curious, would a bootlegger (Rubber Dubber) actually have some copyrights to the actual recordings he made? There was a live closed-circuit tv projection of the band on a screen behind them as they performed, so I wonder if it was recorded and where that might be.

So since his guitar was upside down did he keep the strings in the same spots or did he change them out so they would be normal?
Just curious...

Jimi played right handed guitars upside down left handed, but he did restring them so they played as if they were left handed. But he could play them with the strings upside down.

Well, I think "I know" my Jimi. He did play his Stratocasters restring, if U understand. He did play those righthanded Fenders as it was for lefthanded. That means that he had the strings in the "right" positions so to speak. Another thing is that he was probably one of the first guitarist ever that "tuned" the guitar in a lower key, like in D or a "halftune" down the normal A. How about a creative musician, right folks. He was no doubt the first ever impressionist in playing electric guitar!

mike jeffreys (his manager) stole most of hismoney and put it into offshore bank accounts. it was no coincidence jimi was supposed to b one of the richest but had it all stolen by his management.
